<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which makes it possible to detect various abnormalities that invite the decline of power generation ability at a local level in an early stage and promptly specify an abnormality cause and take measures. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell is provided with a cell of the fuel cell for generating power by the reaction of fuel and an oxidant, the fuel cell has a structure wherein a plurality of temperature sensors 601 are disposed inside the cell of the fuel cell, and a temperature corresponding to power generation conditions at a plurality of parts inside the cell of the fuel cell is detected by the plurality of temperature sensors.
