An ion generator is provided to improve the connection structure of a positive electrode and a negative electrode in prevention of cracks, breakage, and deformation of the electrodes. An ion generator(1) comprises: a casing(10); a substrate(20); a positive electrode(30) and a negative electrode(40) connected to the substrate; and a cover(50). The casing includes body(11), plural hook(13), an upper opening(12), a connection part(15) with a negative electrode opening(16) for emitting negative ions from the negative electrode, a separation stopper(14) for restraining the sliding movement of the positive electrode. The substrate is connected to the positive electrode by a cable(60) and to the negative electrode in a direct manner. The cover includes a cover body(51), an opening(52) for exposing the positive electrode; a sliding guide(53), an insertion stopper, a negative electrode receiving part(55), and a hook connection unit(56). |
