A coffee vending machine is provided to collect used cups by paying back a cup charge to a customer, when the cup is returned. A return button(1), a coin insertion hole(2), a change discharge hole(3), a cup inserting hole(4), a merchandise discharging hole(5), a merchandise selection button(6), and a charge indication lamp(12) are arranged on a front surface of a vending machine. A user inserts a used cup into the cup inserting hole. An optical sensor takes an image of the cup. A weight sensor is arranged in the cup insertion hole, so that a cup is accurately detected. |
