<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of modifying a plastic molded article which enables imparting excellent antibacterial properties to the plastic molded article and hardly causes the lowering of the imparted antibacterial properties and a plastic molded article which has excellent antibacterial properties and hardly causes the lowering of the antibacterial properties. <P>SOLUTION: The plastic molded article is constituted of at least one of a nut 14 of a ball screw 10, a return tube 17, a screw axis 11, and labyrinth seals 19, 19 which are impregnated with an antibacterial agent (zinc pyrithione) by a modification treatment. This modification treatment comprises bringing supercritical carbon dioxide containing an antibacterial agent into contact with a plastic molded article and thereafter removing from the plastic molded article the supercritical carbon dioxide alone of the antibacterial agent and the supercritical carbon dioxide which have permeated into the plastic molded article. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
