PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new improved method of treating rhinosinusitis. SOLUTION: A method of treating rhinosinusitis of the upper airway passages in patients afflicted with the disease is disclosed, which method comprises administering at least once-a-day to the surfaces of the passages of the patients an amount of aerosolized particles of mometasone furoate as a monotherapy, effective for treating the disease. Methods of treating, without administering any antibiotic concurrently, rhinosinusitis of the upper airway passages in patients afflicted with the disease are also disclosed, which method comprises administering at least once-a-day to the surfaces of the passages of the patients an amount of aerosolized particles of corticosteroid, effective for treating the disease.
