An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to offer required data voltages to respective pixels by controlling the supplement of scan pulses based on signals inputted from a system. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes an LCD panel(110), a timing controller(210), and a gate driver(220). The LCD panel is formed by crossing data and gate lines. The timing controller determines whether signals inputted from a system are distorted and supplies or masks a gate output enable signal according to the determined result. The gate driver sequentially supplies scan pulses to the gate lines in response to the gate output enable signal from the timing controller or stops the supplement of the scan pulses in response to the masked gate output enable signal from the timing controller.
