The method involves controlling an adjustment of a transmitting power for a radio communication, based on a flying altitude of an airplane and characteristics of a flyover environment. Geographical characteristics and/or their population density, and geographical positions of terrestrial stations of terrestrial radio communication base stations, are utilized as the characteristics of the flyover environment. The transmitting power is gradually varied. A base station of a radio communication system is utilized as a central unit. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for output control for a radio communication.
