A prism sheet, a backlight unit with the same and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain a highlight-condensing efficiency and reduce a moire pattern substantially by lessening a contact portion with other optical sheet to reduce a variation through the contact. A backlight unit to illuminate a liquid crystal panel includes at least one light source and a first prism sheet(330). The light source provides light illuminating the liquid crystal panel. The first prism sheet is disposed adjacent to a back face of the liquid crystal panel, and receives light provided from the light source and concentrates light onto a visible face of the liquid crystal panel. The first prism sheet has a base film(332) in which a plurality of spacers(334) are formed along any one direction on one face thereof; and a plurality of linear prisms(338) arrayed adjacent to each other in parallel along any one direction, on a face opposite to the face on which the spacers of the base film are formed. |
