A seed encasement method comprises taking a seed and removing the outer skin by scarification, applying an adhesive layer to the scarified seed and applying a first coating layer comprising a mixture of ground refined clay and fine grade volcanic rock (pumice) over the adhesive layer. A second coating layer comprising a porous material and a small amount of absorbent crystals is then applied over the first coating layer, before the coated seed is dried. A final coating layer comprising a mixture of ground refined clay and fine grade volcanic rock (pumice) is then applied. The second coating layer may comprise Potash or rock Phosphate mixed with a suitable organic inclusion. The final coating layer may also include a solution of molasses. The coating of the seed helps nutritional diet values of the plant grown from the seed and helps to eradicate infestation during early establishment of seed growth. |
