PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave interference eliminating method for eliminating radio wave interference caused by the existence of a plurality of radio LANs and radio communication equipment comprising a function for eliminating radio wave interference. SOLUTION: When an STA existing in a state in which radio wave interference occurs detects a radio wave interference state, the STA requests an AP (application program) to change a frequency channel in use by radio communication between the current APs (step S1). The AP that receives the change request transmits a processing result in response to the request to STA (step S2). The STA performs processing relating to a change in the frequency channel. The AP confirms that the STA receives the change request processing result, and notifies the STA of the frequency channel change in the case of changing the frequency channel (step S3). Then, the SP stops using the current frequency channel in use and performs frequency channel changing processing. The STA uses the changed frequency channel to start radio communication.
