A method and a system for protecting an Internet user using a security code are provided to protect the Internet user from spam mail by using a security code instead of personal information. Information on a message transmitter of a user is received from an authenticated user. A security code corresponding to the user is given to the user(110). The security code and the information on the message transmitter are added to a message transmitted by the user(120). A request of confirming whether the security code and the message transmitter information transmitted with the message correspond to the security code and the message transmitter information corresponding to the user is received(130). It is determined whether the security code and the message transmitter information transmitted with the message correspond to the security code and the message transmitter information corresponding to the user(140). A blocking code or a receiving code is output according to the determination result(150,160).
