<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measuring yield by measuring 2 pieces of a triangle or trapezoidal shaped special shaped glass of a side part window glass for automobile as one set together from a rectangular base plate. <P>SOLUTION: The method of measuring the base plate for special shaped glass comprises an input means for inputting the outer peripheral coordinate data of the special shaped glass into a computing unit, a computing means for computing an optimum measuring pattern graphic and the base plate dimension based on the input outer peripheral coordinate date, a storing means for storing the read outer peripheral coordinate data and the computed result and a display output means for screen-displaying the computed result. A lug width adding graphic in which a lug width to be the minimum folding width is provided outside of the outer periphery of the standard graphic of the special shaped glass, the graphic is temporarily arranged in the third quadrant or the forth quadrant of a two-dimensional coordinate system and is moved with a fixed pitch in the x-axial direction between the third quadrant and the forth quadrant, turned at a fixed angle or simultaneously moved and turned to form a point symmetric graphic to the lug width adding graphic with a point O of the orthogonal coordinate as the point symmetry and a base plate graphic in which the rectangular area surrounding the lug width adding graphic and the point symmetric graphic becomes minimum is used as a graphic of the base plate glass for 2 pieces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
