<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric car controller reduced in size and weight as compared with a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: This electric car controller is provided with a pantograph; a chopper module which is connected via a breaker and converts a voltage; a reactor connected to this chopper module; an inverter circuit which is connected to this reactor, receives electric power after the voltage conversion by the chopper module, and converts it into AC power of a predetermined voltage and a predetermined frequency; and a permanent magnet synchronous motor which is connected to this inverter circuit and driven by the AC power converted by the inverter circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
