<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment substrate for an optical compensation film which is excellent in an optical compensation function and can be manufactured with high productivity, to provide an optical compensation sheet which is prepared by using the alignment substrate and is optically homogeneous, to provide a polarizing plate comprising the optical compensation film, and to provide a liquid crystal display device comprising the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the alignment substrate comprising a support and an alignment film, the absolute value of a difference between the degree of alignment of alignment film surface just after alignment and the degree of alignment of alignment film surface after being allowed to stand at 25°C, 80%RH for 24 hr after the alignment is 0.1 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
