<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common rail type fuel injection device for an engine capable of advising a person replacing an injector of update of new correction code of new injector replacing a failed one. <P>SOLUTION: In the common rail type fuel injection device for the engine in which ECU outputs predetermined output value to an injector based on reference data map and correction code by input from sensors to inject fuel of predetermined injection quantity at predetermined injection timing from the injector, a failure display means is connected to the ECU, the ECU starts failure display by the failure display means when failure of the injector is detected by input from the predetermined sensors and judges existence of input of new correction code relating to the newly attached injector, the failure display is maintained when the ECU judges there is no input, and stored old correction code is updated by the new correction code and the failure display is finished when the ECU judges there is input. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
