A compressor is provided to prevent a cylinder bore from being overheated by transferring gas remaining in a suction path of a cylinder bore in a state of a compression process to a cylinder bore in a state of a suction process. A compressor comprises a driving shaft(150), a front cylinder block(130), a rear cylinder block(140), a plurality of pistons(170), front/rear housings(110,120) and a valve unit(190). A bypass path of residual gas is formed at an outer circumferential surface of the driving shaft and communicates with suction paths(132,142) formed at the front and rear cylinder blocks, respectively, such that residual gas in the suction paths of a cylinder bore in a state of a compression stroke is transferred to a cylinder bore in a state of a suction stroke. The bypass path of residual gas communicates with the suction paths when an end of the piston reaches a front end of the suction paths during the compression stroke.
