PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solid-state electrolytic capacitor which uses a separator mainly composed of cellulose fiber which is cheaper and more reliable than a capacitor used in a conventional one. SOLUTION: Positive pole foil having an anodic oxide on the surface and negative pole foil are wound to a capacitor element by the separator mainly formed of cellulose fiber, and then the capacitor element is made to hold conductive macromolecules to manufacture the solid-state electrolytic capacitor. In order to make the capacitor element hold the macromolecules, the capacitor element is first impregnated with an oxidant and then dried at a temperature ranging between 150°C and 190°C and finally impregnated with a monomer.
