PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic teller machine automatically removing jammed paper moneys on a conveyance path without increasing the size. SOLUTION: This automatic teller machine is provided with a deposit paper money conveyance path leading from a paper money input/output machine 7 and a separation part 12 of a service port 11 through a discrimination part 16 to a temporary storage part 17; a rejected paper money conveyance path branching between the discrimination part 16 and the temporary storage part 17 of the deposit paper money conveyance path, and leading to an accumulation part 13; a first return paper money conveyance path leading from the temporary storage part 17 through the discrimination part 16 to the accumulation part 13; a means for conveying remaining paper money remaining on the deposit paper money conveyance path and the rejected paper money conveyance path to the accumulation part 13, and removing it in detecting the occurrence of jam on the deposit paper money conveyance path and the rejected paper money conveyance path; a first cleaning means for feeding one paper money from the separation part 12, and conveying the paper money through the same path to the accumulation part 13 after the remaining paper money is removed; and a second cleaning means for feeding one paper money from the temporary storage part 17, and conveying the paper money to the accumulation part 13 on a first return paper money conveyance path, and for accumulating it.
