PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material composition for a liquid crystal dropping method which is superior in the stability of viscosity, suitability for application, the electro-optical characteristics of a liquid crystal panel and display characteristics of not producing alignment disturbances, and is superior in adhesive strength of a liquid crystal display panel and that brought about, when left standing under high temperature and high humidity for a long time, and to provide a sealing material for the liquid crystal dropping method. SOLUTION: The sealing material composition for the liquid crystal dropping method contains a (meth)acrylic resin (a) of 0-30 pts.wt. having a hydrogen-bonding functional group of 1.5×10<SP>-3</SP>mol/g or more, an epoxy resin (b) of 1-60 pts.wt., a latent epoxy hardening agent (c) of 1-30 pts.wt., a photoinitiator (d) of 0.5-10 pts.wt., and a filler (e) of 1-40 pts.wt. per (meth)acrylic resin (A) of 100 pts.wt., having a hydrogen bonding functional group of 0 mol/g, and is used as the sealing material for the liquid crystal dropping method.
