摘要 A backlight structure and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to smoothly radiate the heat generated from a light-emitting unit by forming a plurality of holes at the floor of a lower cover and fixing a metal PCB(Printed Circuit Board) to the rear side of the lower cover, without additionally attaching a heat sink. An LCD includes a lower cover(130), a metal PCB(134), a reflecting plate(138) and a liquid crystal plate(110). At the bottom surface of the lower cover, a plurality of holes are arrayed and formed. The metal PCB is connected to the rear side of the lower cover. A light-emitting unit(136), of which the light-emitting portion is toward the inside through the holes of the lower cover, is fixed to the metal PCB. The light-emitting unit is composed of one or more LEDs(Light-Emitting Diodes). The reflecting plate having an array of holes is attached on the lower cover. The liquid crystal plate is laid separately from the reflecting plate. A prism sheet(144) is formed on a light diffusion plate(142) to increase the brightness of light emitted from a light emitting unit.
