<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a torque converter equipped with a cover and a pump mutually connected without a welding seam. <P>SOLUTION: The torque converter is equipped with the pump104 and the cover 102. One of the pump 104 and the cover 102 further has at least one slit arranged at an edge of the pump 104 or an edge of the cover 102. The other of the cover 102 and the pump 104 has at least one protrusion 114 arranged at an edge of the cover 102 or the pump 104.
