PURPOSE: To obtain a texture video image whose texture can be selected over a wide range by generating a microscopic texture based upon a fractal interpolating function generating a fractional Braconian motion (fBm) type signal. CONSTITUTION: In a generator, each couple of FirMat circuits calculate two terms Sp1() as B-splince interpolation. Three outputs from respective couples FirMat2, FirMat4, and FirMat6 are inputted to an evaluation unit 3. Further, the 'hardware' part of the generator has a sequencer 4 and data supplied to the input of the sequencer 4 from the evaluation unit and Sp1n() calculation block are obtained from, specially, a processor 1 and an external means. Then a fractal function F is obtained with the output of the evaluation unit 3. Thus, a microscopic texture based upon the fractal interpolating function generating an fBm type signal is generated. |
