PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic transducer which enables a reduction in the size of a two-dimensional array probe with consideration of the operability. SOLUTION: Wiring of a first connecting lead 101 and a second connecting lead 102 is configured by extending the first connecting lead 101 and the second connecting lead 102 respectively from a front electrode 12 and a back electrode 16 of each ultrasonic vibrating element 14 in a manner that a first connecting pad 101a and a second connecting pad 102a, which are formed at the edge part of the connecting leads 101, 102 and where an IC substrate is connected, are arranged in a combined manner.
