A disposable pants-type wearing article whose waist side sections can be easily torn apart. A waist region of the disposable pants-type wearing article (1) is segmented into a front section (6) and a back section (7), and the wearing article has sheet strips (21) for connecting the front section (6) and the back section (7). The sheet strips (21) each have a not-joined portion (24) provided between joined portions (27, 28) joined to the front section (6) and the back section (7), and the not-joined portion (24) is capable of forming a cut line, extending in the top-bottom direction, for tearing apart the article (1). The not-joined portion (24) has tensile strength in the circumferential direction of the waist of at least 8 N per 25 mm width, and a tearing strength in the top-bottom direction in the range of 0.1-12 N.
