<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller which can travel and perform rolling, without damage to an existing structure. <P>SOLUTION: A roller body 2 of the travelable and rollable roller 1 is equipped with a self-propelled travel unit, and a rolling device 5 for applying rolling to a soil material. Since a guide wheel 32 is provided on the roller body 2 in such a manner as to protrude in the lateral direction of the roller body 2 and the rolling device 5, the guide wheel 32 rolls on the side wall of the existing structure, and the roller 1 travels in such a manner as to be separated from the side wall of the existing structure. This prevents the roller 1 from damaging the existing structure. Additionally, since a protective cover 6 for covering a side portion of a rolling body 55, which constitutes the rolling device 5, is attached to the rolling device 5, the rolling body 55 does not damage the side wall of the existing structure even if the rolling device 5 is arranged in such a manner that the rolling body 55 can get close to the existing structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
