PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester which quickly lowers a reaping part to a lowering operation position and performs high reaping in a state in which the thrust of the reaping part into the ground surface is easily controlled. SOLUTION: The combine harvester is equipped with a ground part attached to the reaping part 10 shakably, liftably and lowerably connected to the front of a self-traveling machine body and a balance spring 21 having a supporting action on the reaping part 10 so as to reduce ground pressure of the reaping part 10 at the ground part. The balance spring 21 is constituted so as to set the lowering limit A of the reaping part 10 relatively to the self-traveling machine body by reaching the limit of an elastic deformation operation by the load of the reaping part 10. The combine harvester is equipped with an adjustment means 29 for changing the connection height of the reaping part 10 relatively to the self-traveling machine body when the balance spring 21 starts a supporting action on the reaping part 10 with the lowering of the reaping part 10 from a rise stroke end U.
