PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time until automatic restoration and to resume operation even if some areas are out of travel. SOLUTION: When an earthquake is detected by an earthquake detecting part 12 in this group supervisory operation control device, an operation control part 13 individually assigns floor areas for performing check travel, to respective elevators 20a, 20b, 20c by an area assignment control part 13a. A check travel control part 13b allows each elevator to perform check travel, and a restoring operation control part 13c resumes the operation of the travelable areas based on the travel result of each elevator. Check travel is thus shared among the respective elevators to shorten time until automatic restoration, and operation can be resumed even if some areas are out of travel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
