PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MPEG4-AAC (motion picture experts group 4-advanced audio coding) format conversion apparatus, capable of reproducing an MPEG4-AAC file of an MP4FF (file format) without performing format conversion by an external tool. SOLUTION: The MPEG4-AAC format conversion apparatus is provided with: a file identification section 2 for identifying a format of the MPEG4-AAC file which is input in real time; a header analysis section 3 for analyzing a header of a file which is identified to be MP4FF, and extracting frame position information and header information; a header creation section 4 for creating ADTS (audio data transport stream) header based on the extracted header information; a frame segmenting section 5 for segmenting raw data into frames based on the extracted frame position information; and an AAC reproduction section 12 for reproducing sound based on output from a frame attachment section 9 which adds the ADTS header to each segmented frame and outputs in real time.
