<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering controller using SBW technology enhancing freedom on design relating to a dirigible road wheel not by requiring a steering exclusive actuator. <P>SOLUTION: The steering controller is a device for controlling steering of a steer-by-wire type vehicle CR, and is provided with motors M<SB>L</SB>, M<SB>R</SB>for a steering wheel for independently giving torque to left and right dirigible road wheels T<SB>L</SB>, T<SB>R</SB>; a rod part 16 for turnably connecting the left and right dirigible road wheels T<SB>L</SB>, T<SB>R</SB>; and a steering control part 20A for drive-controlling the motors M<SB>L</SB>, M<SB>R</SB>for the dirigible road wheels. A ground-contact center of the dirigible road wheels T<SB>L</SB>, T<SB>R</SB>and a king pin position are offset in a width direction of the vehicle CR. The steering control part 20A drive-controls the motor M<SB>L</SB>, M<SB>R</SB>for the dirigible road wheel so as to generate torque difference on the left and right dirigible road wheels T<SB>L</SB>, T<SB>R</SB>, and turns the vehicle CR by transmitting turning force according to the torque difference to the left and right dirigible road wheels T<SB>L</SB>, T<SB>R</SB>through the rod part 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
