PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress large discharging that occurs between the surfaces of an electric insulator provided around a conductor to which a high voltage is applied, and to reduce weight and cost. SOLUTION: A stator coil comprises an electric insulating layer 2 around a conductor 1 to which a high voltage is applied. A coating layer 3 is formed by coating such material as has a surface resistivity of 10<SP>4</SP>-10<SP>12</SP>Ωlower in resistance value than the electric insulating layer, on the surface of the part comprising the electric insulating layer 2.
