A sliding window system for wind pressure resistance is provided to resist strong wind pressure by fixing a fixed window to a window frame strongly by forming a reinforcement unit to the inside of a vertical frame of a fixed window and installing a backing member to the top and bottom of a reinforcement unit. A sliding window system for wind pressure resistance comprises a window frame(1) fixed to a wall of a balcony, a fixed window(10) fixed to the wind frame, and a movable window fixed to the window frame to be opened and closed in a horizontal direction, wherein a reinforcement unit(14) with a built-in metallic core is formed on the indoor side of a vertical frame(12) of the fixed window to resist strong wind pressure, and a backing member(20) is installed between the top and bottom of the reinforcement unit and the window frame to support the reinforcement unit. The backing member comprises a body(22) made of plastics or metal and equipped with impact prevention projections(28) at two sides to prevent the movable window moved along the rail of the window frame from being bumped into the reinforcement unit, a rail insertion unit(24) formed to the body to insert a rail(1a) of the window frame, and a mounting unit formed to the body to mount the top or bottom of the reinforcement unit. |
