A card slot device and a display device having the same are provided to enhance a cooling efficiency of a cooling fan for cooling a POD(Point Of Deployment) card by turning on/off the cooling fan depending on temperature of the POD card inserted into the card slot device. A slot main unit(40) includes a slot for receiving a POD card(C). A cooling fan(41) is installed to a slot main unit to cool the POD card. A control unit(100) turns on/off the cooling fan depending on the temperature of the POD card. The control unit includes a first temperature sensor(110) detecting the temperature of the inside of the slot, a second temperature sensor(120) detecting the temperature of the outside of the slot, and a controller(130) operating the cooling fan when a difference between the temperature detected from the first and second temperature sensor is higher than a predetermined level. |
