PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amine borane by using an acid and amines themselves or an aqueous solution thereof as starting materials, and a usually easily treatable mixed solution of a solvent and water as a solvent by a simple operation by one pot. SOLUTION: The method for producing the amine borane includes mixing the amine and a strong acid (sulfuric acid, conc. hydrochloric acid or the like) in a reaction solvent containing 10-30 wt.% water previously added thereto, and carrying out the reaction by adding sodium borohydride.
