<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular jack in which a wire connecting work can be carried out without using an exclusive tool such as an impact tool and a tool such as a pair of pliers, and furthermore in which poor termination of an electric wire is hard to occur. <P>SOLUTION: This jack is provided with a plurality of contacts 13 which are arranged in a plug insertion port 11a in a housing 1 and which are capable of contacting with a contact point of the modular plug, a terminal board 2 connected to the housing 1, and a protective cap 3 removable from the terminal board 2. In the terminal board 2, a terminal plate is arranged so that a crimping slit will correspond to between respective pairs of protective bulkheads 23 adjacent in the insertion direction of the modular plug. In such a state that the protective cap 3 has been removed from the terminal board 2, a simple tool part 35 in which one electric wire 5 is pushed into the crimping slit of the terminal plate selected alternatively among a plurality of terminal plates, and connected electrically is protrudingly installed at the protective cap 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
