Device and method for providing activated indicators for product labelling

The active indicator provision process involves activating a temperature or time-sensitive indicator and then applying protective filter to it. The indicator passes through an activation unit (12) and a protective-filter application unit (66) downstream of the activation unit. The indicator may already have been attached to the protective filter. The device used in the process is also described.
