An image forming apparatus and a paper feeding method are provided to offer a small image forming apparatus by having no necessity for obtaining space for mounting a paper feeding unit and facilitate the carrying of the image forming apparatus by enabling the paper feeding unit to move easily in a state of being mounted in the main body of the image forming apparatus. An image forming apparatus comprises a main body(10), an image forming unit(20), and a paper feeding unit(30). The image forming unit is provided in the main body of the image forming apparatus. The paper feeding unit is installed movably for the main body and feeds papers(P) to the image forming unit by converting a direction of the printing medium(P) received in the inside into a reverse direction and moving the printing medium.
