Disclosed are isoindoline pigments of general formula (I), wherein R<SUP>1</SUP> represents C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>4</SUB> alkyl and R<SUP>2</SUP> represents hydrogen or C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>4 </SUB>alkyl. Said isoindoline pigments have a dispersion hardness of =10 in LDPE and require a bleaching ratio of = 5 for adjusting the standard depth of shade 1/3.
