A mobile terminal having an object-by-object image processing function and a method using the same are provided to track a specific object from an image inputted from the external and to execute image processing for the tracked object. A mobile terminal having an object-by-object image processing function comprises an image input part(110), an input part(120), and a control part(130). The image input part(110) includes a camera module which photographs an image inputted from the external. The input part(120) generates a signal to select a specific object from the inputted image and a signal to select an image processing method to be performed for the specific object. Based on the selection signals, the control part(130) tracks the specific object selected from the inputted image, and performs image processing for the tracked object.
