<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device where the winding amount of a transfer belt round an image carrying rotating body set for monochrome is not changed between in a monochrome mode and in a color mode and which can transfer a stable-quality image, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the transfer device which transfers the image on the image carrying rotating body to the transfer belt by applying bias by a bias applying rotating body through the transfer belt in such a state that the image carrying rotating body Bk1 is arranged so that its center axis may be positioned nearer to the transfer belt side than a line linking the center axes of the remaining image carrying rotating bodies, each bias applying rotating body is arranged to be deviated to a downstream side in a transfer belt moving direction with respect to each image carrying rotating body and also superposed thereon in a direction perpendicular to the transfer belt moving direction, and further the one image carrying rotating body is arranged on the most upstream side out of the remaining image carrying rotating bodies. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
