PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert attaching/detaching type spherical surface cutter capable of accurately and easily adjusting the positions of circular-arc shaped cutting blades by surely pressing inserts by pressing members in adjusting directions. SOLUTION: This insert attaching/detaching type spherical surface cutter 10 is provided with the pressing members 26 for adjusting the positions of the circular-arc shaped cutting blades 33 in mounting seats 22. Each of the inserts is formed into a polygonal flat plate shape in its external shape, and has two polygonal faces and side faces intersecting the polygonal faces. The one polygonal face is made a rake face. In the one polygonal face, circular-arc ridge line parts projected and curved toward an outer peripheral side of the polygonal face are formed. In the circular-arc ridge line parts, the circular-arc shape cutting blades 33 are provided. A side face 32a connected to the circular-arc ridge line parts is made a flank. In a side face 32b arranged on a side opposed to the flank, cut-out parts 34 into which distal ends of the pressing members 26 can be inserted are formed.
