The window has two, superimposed panels (16, 18) which can be moved in relation to each other, each of which has opaque (OP) and translucent (TR) strips with the same width. The panels (16, 18) are made of translucent glass and/or plastics panels such as Plexiglas (RTM). The opposite surfaces of the panels are covered with a film (28, 30) onto which the opaque areas have been printed. The opaque sections are progressively more transparent at the edges. The two panels can be moved in relation to each other so that the opaque sections of one panel are lined up with the translucent areas of the other panel. The panels are supported by one fixed (20) and one mobile (22) support. There are guides consisting of a stud (32) in the mobile support which fits into a sliding channel (34) in the fixed support.
