摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner which is high in transfer efficiency in the case of color superposition in development of a latent image carrier with an electrostatic latent image formed or in the case of color superposition in transfer to a transfer material after development and which can drastically reduce the amount of the cleaned waste toner and permits downsizing of the image device itself and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner and an image forming apparatus using the toner. SOLUTION: The toner is toner of a plurality of colors which are formed by respectively internally adding at least four colors of coloring matter to toner base particles and respectively externally adding hydrophobic silica particles and metal soap particles thereto and undergoes color superposition in the development of the latent image carrier with the electrostatic latent image formed or undergoes the color superposition in the transfer to the transfer material after the development. The difference (absolute value) of the work function between the toner of the plurality of the colors is≥0.02eV and on the occasion of the color superposition, the toner undergos the color superposition successively from the toner of the largest work function and the difference between the work function of the toner base particles and the work function of the metal soap parts is confined to≤0.15eV.
