The invention relates to a sun protection device from at least one optically transparent dielectric layer (1, 7) which is connected on either side with a structural layer (5, 6) from an opaque or only partially translucent material. The two structural layers (5, 6) are structured in such a manner, and while forming light passage openings (14) and light-impermeable zones (12, 13), that optical radiation which is incident on the outer structural layer (6) within a predetermined angular range is blocked by the interaction of the two structural layers (5, 6) and a portion of the optical radiation which is incident on the second structural layer (6) within a different angular range may pass the structural layers (5, 6) without being blocked. The sun protection device allows an angle-selective transmission of solar radiation, thereby achieving an antiglare effect and at the same time allowing vision in a downward direction. |
