PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor apparatus in which a drive magnet can be surely secured on a rotor component without bringing about a remarkable increase in cost and damage to the drive magnet, and a method for manufacturing for the motor apparatus. SOLUTION: In the motor 1 used in a pump device 100, a rotor component 40 includes a seating part 45 receiving one end face of a drive magnet 42, and a cylindrical magnet attaching part 44 erected from the seating part 45 for insertion-fitting into the drive magnet 42. An engaging part 445 is formed on the chip part 440 of the magnet attaching part 44, in which the engaging part is deformed so as to cover at least a part of the other end face 422 of the drive magnet 42 due to the heating and pressure applied to the chip part 440, to secure the drive magnet 42 on the rotor component 40.
