POLYESTER REACTIVE ORGANO CLAY AND POLYESTER NANO-COMPLEX THEREOF

A polyester reactive organoclay and a polyester nanocomposite prepared by using the polyester reactive organoclay are provided to improve heat resistance, thereby preventing the pyrolysis during the esterification and polycondensation of polyester. A polyester reactive organoclay is prepared by mixing a layered clay and an alkyl benzene triarylphosphine salt represented by the formula 1 as an organic modifier in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:5 by weight, and reacting by the cation exchange reaction at a temperature of 300 deg.C or more, wherein R1 is a hydroxyl group or a methoxy group; R2 and R'2 are independently a C0-C10 alkyl group; R3 is a benzyl group, a phenoxy group, or a C7-C18 alkyl group and X is F, Cl, B or I. Preferably the polyester reactive organoclay has an interlayer distance of 20-40 Angstrom.
