The device has a flexible and metallic cover (38) in shape of three finger glove and located between an insulating material layer (32) such as putty, and a sealed outer cover (46). The metallic cover has a large opening (40) by which a metallic sheath (18) passes, small openings (42, 44) by which electric conductors (12, 14, 16) passes, and a layer of metal such as aluminum, sandwiched between layers of polymer such as polyethylene or polyethylene terephthalate. A cylindrical shaped metallic film (24) is located between a tube (20) and a retractable holding sheath (22). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a flexible and metallic cover in the shape of three finger glove.
