PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection apparatus capable of relatively simply masking a part of an imaging region during an inspection of appearance defectiveness in a PTP sheet manufacturing process and capable of suppressing a smear phenomenon, and to provide a PTP sheet manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: A camera 23 has a digital micromirror device (DMD) 23M and an imaging device 23S and performs the imaging due to the imaging device 23S through the DMD 23M. A CPU and an input/output interface 47 set a mask region on the basis the imaging data stored in an image memory 41 and form mask data to store the same in a mask data memory 42. Then, the driving of the DMD 23M is controlled on the basis of the mask data stored in the mask data memory 42 so that the light from the mask region does not arrive at the imaging device 23S.
