A method for transmitting a rearranged short message in a mobile communication network and a device thereof are provided to rearrange character arrays included in a short message to be transmitted by a sender through the mobile communication network, in various types to send the rearranged message to a receiver, thereby expressing a user's personality as satisfying the user's demand. The first short message signal including a short message to be transmitted to a receiving terminal by a sending terminal is received from an SMSC(Short Message Service Center)(40). A short message included in the received short message signal is rearranged according to a predetermined standard. The second short message signal including the rearranged short message is transmitted to the SMSC(40). The SMSC(40) transmits the rearranged short message included in the received second short message signal to a receiving terminal.
