A method for selecting one of a plurality of selectable objects (52) displayed on a display (38), the method comprising the steps of providing (90) each selectable object (52) with an associated activating area 58 wherein interaction with the activating area (58) with pointing means causes selection of said respective selectable object (52), receiving (92) an object selection, predicting 100 a next object selection, enhancing (102) the activating area (58) of the predicted selectable object, and selecting the selectable object (52) corresponding to the enhanced activating area (58) when said enhanced activating area (58) is interacted with. Enhancing the activating area (58) of a predicted selectable object increases the probability of a user selecting the correct object. A device and a software application for implementing the method are also disclosed.
