PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of interlayer contact portions in a liquid crystal display device with a static electricity protective thin film transistor for protecting a switching thin film transistor from static electricity. SOLUTION: An output terminal 12 for scanning disposed in a driver mounting region 11 for driving scanning lines also functions as an interlayer contact portion to connect a routing line 10 for scanning connected to scanning lines 6 with first and second static electricity protective thin film transistors 32, 33 for scanning lines, thereby reducing the number of interlayer contact portions.
